Northeast Quarterly Newsletter
Dear Northeast Region Team,
As we move through the second quarter of 2024, we'd like to express our gratitude for your hard work and commitment to NFP. Your efforts have been instrumental in navigating the challenges of the past year and seizing new opportunities across all our lines of business.
The insurance industry as a whole is experiencing a dynamic environment. In the property and casualty space, while some lines like property coverage are still seeing double-digit rate increases, others such as workers' compensation are softening. On the benefits side, employers continue to seek innovative solutions to manage costs while providing competitive offerings to attract and retain talent in a tight labor market. Despite these varied market conditions, our Northeast region has continued to demonstrate resilience and growth thanks to the strength of our diversified platform.
As we navigate the evolving risk landscape and stay at the forefront of industry trends, our focus remains on delivering exceptional service and value to our clients across all their insurance needs. By leveraging data, technology and innovative risk management approaches, we can help clients make informed decisions, optimize their risk transfer programs and provide cutting-edge solutions tailored to their unique needs, whether it's in the P&C, benefits or personal lines space.
Our success is rooted in the exceptional talent and unwavering dedication of our team members. We are incredibly proud of the passion and expertise you bring to your work every day, collaborating across business lines to provide integrated solutions and position our team to achieve extraordinary results together.
Thank you for being an integral part of the Northeast region family. This is an exciting year for NFP as we officially join Aon as an independent and connected platform. Together, let's embrace the opportunities that lie ahead, support one another, and continue to make a lasting impact in the lives of our clients and our communities.

Real Talk Replay
In Real Talk with NFP Leaders, the Northeast DEIB Committee hosts conversations with NFP leaders about their career journeys, challenges they’ve faced, obstacles they’ve overcome and the opportunities they’ve seized along the way. This quarter, Sharla St. Rose, managing director of Alterity Group, shared some of the impact her family has had along her personal journey, as well as how her solution-focused mindset impacted her career path and more. Watch the replay below!
The Lighthouse Newsletter
We're thrilled to announce the inaugural edition of NFP's Black Professionals business resource group newsletter, Lighthouse!

Good News
The northeast region continues to offer volunteer opportunities to employees looking to give back to the community.
In February, our NYC office hosted a volunteer event to benefit Project Sunshine.
Project Sunshine’s mission is to deliver the healing power of play to children with medical needs through trained and dedicated volunteers. Thank you to those who showed up to give back, packing kits for the children in the program.
Marketing
Refined NFP Story
At the NFP Sales Kickoff in March, Mike James, chief sales officer, and Eric Boester, chief marketing officer, introduced a refined NFP story. (See the presentation.) This story reflects our evolution and growth as a company and is for all areas of our company.
Because we all have our own styles and interact with different audiences, we developed iterations of various lengths for use — standard, at-a-glance, brief and extended.
Within Brand Central, you can access all iterations of the story and an FAQ to provide additional perspective on this initiative.
If you have any questions regarding the story and how to use it, please reach out to Kelly Jones.
Updated Sports Ticket Roster
The Northeast ticket distribution was streamlined in 2023 and we’ve made a small update to our offering. Boston Red Sox tickets have been added, while New York Mets tickets are no longer available this season.
This change refreshes our ticket inventory — and presents a fantastic opportunity for producers and account managers in the New England area to engage clients and prospects with one of baseball’s legendary franchises. Requests for tickets to sporting and entertainment events must be made through our established submission form. For any questions, please reach out to Nicole Bascombe.
Ongoing Education: NAPEO Membership
As part of our ongoing commitment to stay educated and on top of the latest solutions, the Northeast region is now a member of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO). With this membership, we get access to PEO industry news and information, business resources and continuing education.
To sign up for an account, go to NAPEO's website, click "Login/Create Account" at the top right-hand of the page and select “Signup.” Enter your name, NFP email address, and postal code and select "Continue."
Membership provides you with access to:
- NAPEO’s Regulatory Database
- The Electronic Membership Directory
- NAPEO’s Financial Ratio and Operating Statistics Survey
We hope you utilize this resource to better serve your clients and teams. If you have any questions regarding our NAPEO membership or access, please contact Nicole Bascombe.
Non-Commissioned Employee Bonus Program
Interested in earning additional money for referring business that helps the region reach its annual revenue goals? We’re excited to share that the Northeast region is offering a rewarding bonus opportunity to all non-commissioned colleagues.
For every successful Benefits and/or P&C referral, colleagues will receive a competitive bonus. Additional details can be found in the attached one-pager.
Contact Dan Rodliff, SVP, Property & Casualty, or Sue Lodemore, SVP, Benefits with your referrals.
